New flux cored wire for 6 Mo steels and nickel base alloys

Avesta FCW-3D P12 is a new, nickel base, flux cored wire with a chemical composition corresponding to ENiCrMo3T1-4 in AWS A5.34. It has been specially developed for welding 6 Mo steels (e.g. Outokumpu 254 SMO) and nickel base alloys such as Inconel 625 and Inconel 825.

The composition of the flux gives excellent arc stability, very little welding spatter and smooth weld finishes in all positions. Avesta FCW-3D P12 also gives welds with very high resistance to stress corrosion, pitting and crevice corrosion in highly corrosive environments.
Avesta FCW-3D P12 is a 1.20 mm diameter wire that is supplied layer wound on 15-kilo wire basket spools. Avesta Welding’s programme of filler metals for welding nickel base alloys also includes covered electrodes and MIG, TIG and SAW wires.
