REACH

Statement to the regulation (EC) no. 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 December 2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), published in the Official Journal of the European Union L 396 of 30 December 2006

As a downstream user Avesta Welding will follow and fulfil all relevant REACH regulations and requirements.

Avesta Welding has pre-registered certain substances that are used for producing welding consumables. The pre-registration period has recently ended and until the scope of future registrations is known, more detailed information cannot be given.

Concerning REACH article 33: The candidate list of 28 October 2008 according to article 59 (1, 10) of Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 has been published (see website of the European Chemicals Agency ECHA:
http://echa.europa.eu/chem_data/authorisation_process/candidate_list_table_en.asp.

The welding consumables produced by Avesta Welding, and their packaging materials, do not contain any substances included on the candidate list in concentrations above 0.1 %.
