Safety is important when pickling

Avesta pickling chemicals are hazardous substances so the user must be protected against fumes and splashes. Follow these general guidelines and safety levels when working with Avesta pickling chemicals.

Level 1: “LIGHT”
protection
When handling packaged chemicals,
acid-resistantgloves are the only
protective equipment required.

Level 2: “STANDARD”
protection

When using pickling paste, cleaning
and finishing agents, an
acid-resistant overall and gloves,
together with a visor, are to be
worn.
Level 3: “HEAVY”
protection

When using spray pickling gel and
bath pickling solution, full protective
equipment is required, consisting
of an acid-resistant overall and gloves,
and a breathing mask.
Avesta First Aid Spray
This unique first aid solution should be
readily availablein case of accident.
The handy spray absorbs small splashes
of Avesta pickling paste/spray, and
is suitable for both skin and eyes.

The Material Safety Data Sheets and the product labels should be thoroughly studied before the chemicals are used.

The Rainbow Concept chemicals are coloured for easy identification of the product and safety precautions required. You are also able to choose the correct treatment from an environmental point of view and minimise the discharge of gases and chemicals.
