History

The first trials to pickle stainless steel were carried out already in the 1950's. Stainless steel pickling materials have been produced by Finishing Chemicals ever since.

In 1916 Axel Johnson & Co,Malmö was founded. Carbon and steel was the main business until the 60's when trading and producing chemicals grew rapidly.
The manufacture of "Avesta pickling paste" began in 1959 and before long, the products had established a reputation for quality world-wide.
