Products and equipment
Avesta Classic Cleaner 401
removes organic contaminants that will inhibit the pickling. The cleaner also improves the surface finish by removing rust and creates a brighter surface.
Avesta Cleaner 401 is an excellent rouge remover (de-rouge) and is used in many pharmaceutical WFI (high-purity water) systems, for reguarly cleaning "de-rouging".
Avesta Classic Neutralising Agent 502 provides a simple method for handling the acidic waste water after rinsing. By adding this product, the waste water will achieve an adjusted pH-value of 7 to 10, and the dissolved metals such as chromium and nickel will be precipitated.
Avesta Classic Passivating Agent 601 is a nitric-acid based passivator.
Avesta FinishOne 630- is a environmental friendly passivator/ final rinse which removes contaminants and iron particles from the surface. It also restores the protective chromium oxide layer and removes smut from sensitive surfaces after pickling.

Avesta Mini-ARS saves money and environment by recovering spent acids.In the steel industry mineral acids, single or in a mixture with hydrofluoric are used for pickling of various grades of steel. During the pickling process metal salts concentration builds up in the acids and once the maximum metal salt concentration level is reached, the pickling acid is considered spent and is dumped to neutralisation.
Instead of using the procedure of dumping spent acid, the AvestaPolarit Mini-ARS is designed to continuously remove the metal salts and allow recycling of the acids.
The continuous removal of dissolved metal salts means that the content of metals in the pickle bath can easily be set to an optimised value, where good pickling process is obtained and no process disturbances due to precipitation or sludge build-up is found.
